Allma Collaborates With Frulact and Santini to Develop Bubble Tea and Sorbet
Allma, a Portugal- Microalgae company, has signed partnership with two companies in the food and beverage industries. Allma has agreed to supply its sun- grown Chlorella to Frulact, a Portuguese group that supplies fruit based ingredients to blue- chip food companies globally and sells jams, beverages and smoothies. Collaborating with Allma, Frulact develops ‘bubble tea’ containing tiny pearls of Chlorella.
Meanwhile, Allma will also be supplying Chlorella to Santini; a leading Portugal- based frozen desserts company, according to the correspondence. Santini has developed a Chlorella– enriched sorbet ‘Greenfest’, which is made of pineapple, orange and lemon along with 1.3% Chlorella powder.
Sofia Mendonco, Allma business development manager, who is excited about this partnership, says that Chlorella adds enormous value to a range of food, beverage and dietary supplement applications.
