Wastewater Treatment Plant

Aerobic Treatment Plant
In most of the waste water treatment plants of recent times; degradation of organic matter is done through bacterial activity. When bacterial activity is promoted by aerobic bacteria (bacteria which survive in oxygenated environment) involving arrangements supplying oxygen to water, the process is called aerobic treatment. Oxygen is generally supplied in diluted form (in the form of air) to oxygenate water. The process of supplying air may be different viz. through fixed or floating aerators or through diffused aeration; the purpose is simply to aerate water so that bacteria survive and eat away the organic matter and clean up water.

Anaerobic Treatment Plant
Anaerobic wastewater treatment is the biological treatment of wastewater without the use of air or elemental oxygen. Many applications are directed towards the removal of organic pollution in wastewater, slurries and sludges. The organic pollutants are converted by anaerobic microorganisms to a gas containing methane and carbon dioxide, known as "biogas".

COD Balance
In the wastewater engineering field, organic pollution is measured by the weight of oxygen it takes to oxidize it chemically. This weight of oxygen is referred to as the "chemical oxygen demand" (COD). COD is basically a measure of organic matter content or concentration. The best way to appreciate anaerobic wastewater treatment is to compare its COD balance with that of aerobic wastewater treatment.

Mobile Sewage Treatment Plants / Fluidized Bed Reactors
Some packaged compact mobile sewage treatment plant which can be mounted on a truck bed or a trolley or even on a trailer. It is already mounted on a skid and it can be easily transported as a mobile unit or in a container for easy mobility.
