Algae Production Certification Program on April 27 – 28
Press Release:
Learn from algae researchers, producers and equipment manufacturers about the algae production industy.
The need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, become energy independent and create new jobs continue to challenge algaepreneurs who have tasked themselves with the development of commercial-scale algae production facilities.
To succeed in commercialization, promising players and established companies must quickly become educated on existing and develop an understanding of new algae production process technologies. In response, the National Algae Association has developed the first Algae Production Certification Program in the US.
Join an elite group algaepreneurs in exploring new ways to capitalize on growth opportunities in the algae industry and position your company to succeed in this rapidly changing new industry.
What You Can Expect
This groundbreaking algae production certification program is the first of its kind – to learn all aspects of algae production – from strain selection through growing, harvesting, extractinion, along with economics to help make this a profitable endeavor. You will learn about how recent developments are impacting the algae industry as we turn the corner and get algae out of the lab and into commercial-scale production. You will gain fresh insights and strategies for developing, managing, and distributing this new source of biocrude and co-products.
The Course of Study
The two day program will provide comprehensive training about algae strains, growing, harvesting techniques and extraction methods.
You will also explore the key issues facing algae production companies today – business-government relations, geopolitics, risk management, emerging business models, financing issues and technological innovation.
Who Should Sign Up For The Program
This program is appropriate for algaepreneurs who are dedicated to learning the full spectrum of commercial-scale algae production.
Given the emergence of the algae industry and the unique curriculum of the certification program, with whom you learn and from whom you learn is as important as what you learn. We have deliberately structured our program to assure a vibrant mix of instructors that represent diverse algae research related functions, industries, and geographic regions.
Many algaepreneurs will develop relationships, connections and friendships here that will last decades, even lifetimes.
Our instructors are all noted for their contributions to the algae industry, their commitment to sharing their knowledge, and their closeness to commercial-scale algae production. They are known for their ability to draw upon practical business wisdom to help create algae industry leaders.
The program features instruction provided by experts in the algae production, research and equipment communities who share in the commitment to bring commercial-scale algae production to reality, an onsite view of a closed-loop photobioreactor and a final exam. See preliminary curriculum outline below.
Certificates of Completion will be issued to individuals who successfully complete the Program and are not transferable.
