Aurora Biofuels Loses CEO
Bob Walsh, CEO of Aurora Biofuels, has left the start-up “for personal reasons” after less than a year, according to a spokesperson.
Walsh joined the Alameda algae-fuel company in March 2009 after leaving the CEO position at rival biofuels startup LS9 Inc.
The company released the following statement after an original version of this story appeared online: “Aurora Biofuels is actively searching for a CEO to lead the company in the commercialization of its algae-based biofuels. Former CEO Robert Walsh has left the company for personal reasons. The Board of Directors will oversee the company in the interim and is in the midst of leading a nationwide executive search to fill the vacant post.”
