Algae.Tec Forays into Aquaculture and Animal Feed Markets
Algae.Tec has launched its FeedMe algae product line to cater the aquaculture and animal feed markets. This product line is part of the company’s expansion into a range of high value product lines.
The FeedMe product line offers many healthy options for both aquaculture and animal feeds. It also offers superfoods for human consumption.
The product line was officially launched in April with the first sales through online channels and to leading downstream product formulators and distributors.
It is to be noted that the global aquafeed market is valued at more than US$ 100 billion in 2017 and the animal feed market at $25 billion. Within these markets there has been a strong demand for natural and sustainable products to increase the nutritional value.
