New Algae Based Water Bottle Designed By University Student
Algae based water bottle designed by a University student has won The Reykjavik Grapevine Design Awards recently. The Agari water bottle is made of agar, a jelly like substance obtained from algae. It is designed only to retain its shape when filled with water. Once the bottle is empty, it starts to deconstruct.
With increasing ban by government on usage of plastics globally, this project provides an alternative, sustainable solution to plastics consumption.
Though the project is still in its initial stages, it shows the possibilities of solving the problems of global consumption in future.
