Algaetech International into the Production of Aviation Fuels from Algae

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Algaetech International Sdn. Bhd. has received the 2011 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Green Excellence Award for Service Innovation in Algae Technology. The award was conferred at the inaugural 2011 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Green Excellence Awards banquet held on the 25 August at the Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa, Singapore.
According to Frost & Sullivan, Algaetech International Sdn. Bhd. is a turnkey company in algae technology and is ever ready to offer key green solutions to help solve environmental issues while providing a return in investment in the form of high value products, such as biofuels, health foods and other valuable by-products.
By utilizing CO2 emissions as a resource to grow the algae, Algaetech helps power plants and manufacturing facilities reduce their impact on the environment while simultaneously generating revenue from their waste streams.
Algaetech is also currently working closely with the Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC) and EADS to promote the cultivation of algae and production of aviation fuel in Malaysia.
