Solix Biosystems Sells First Commercial Algae Production System
Solix Biosystems delivered its Lumian AGS4000, a fully integrated, high productivity algae cultivation system to New Mexico State University (NMSU). The Lumian AGS, which is designed using Solix’s proprietary photobioreactor technology, is located at Fabian Garcia Science Center of NMSU. This will be used to optimize algae growth parameters and produce biomass for downstream testing.
According Peter Lammers, Technical Director of the Algae Bioenergy Program at NMSU, they purchased Solix’s product, using the grant from the US Air Force. The Lumian AGS4000 is the first commercial scale algae cultivation system from Solix.
Solix claims that Lumian AGS4000 will be a reliable and high productivity algae production system and it will enhance the algae research program at NMSU.
