Oilgae Club – Network for Algae Fuel Business and Research
It was just about two months back that we started the Oilgae Club. The idea was to enable increased interactions between the thousands of visitors who access the Oilgae web site every week. (Oilgae gets about 2500 unique visitors every day).
Since the launch, the Club has grown in strength and we have over 250 members at the Club. Members belong to all parts of the world, and with different profiles – researchers and students, financial investors, entrepreneurs and algae fuel industry professionals, biofuel enthusiasts, and more.
At the Oilgae Club, members can have their own home page (my home page here), and can regularly posts either short notes or detailed blog posts. These could be news updates, their thoughts and opinions in the context of algae fuels or updates on what they/their business is doing in this field.
In the past two months, we have also seen a good amount of useful interactions taking place between members. Members can interact either by sending a private message to others, by adding those whom they with to keep in touch with as friends, or by responding to blog posts. Members can also have online chat with other members who are present at that time.
Our vision for the Oilgae Club is to make it a catalyst for progress and research in the algae fuels domain. It is hoped that this will be achieved through productive interactions and networking that the Club enables, and through the data and insights that are shared by the members.
I invite you to become a member of the Oilgae Club. It will be great if you could also let us know what you think about the Club and your suggestions for improvements.
