A Marshall University graduate has donated $50,000 to the university’s College of Science to support aquatic research. College Dean Charles Somerville says Shelba Pew’s donation will help in the study of algae in larger rivers. Pew graduated from Marshall in 1936. Somerville says the preliminary study could help in the development of energy resources.
