Actually we cannot directly connect the power plant emissions to algae photobioreactor. The power plant flue gas must be passed through a gas conditioner chamber where the reduction of flue gas temperature and removal of acid gases take place. From this gas conditioner it is fed into photobioreactor via pumps.

Is there any cost effective method proposed for the provision of CO2 ?

Are you asking cost effective method proposed for the provision of CO2 in photobioreactor??
I think all photobioreactor comes with a CO2 supply vent where you have to connect your CO2 supply... there is no need to buy a separate device. If you are talking about PBR constructed by you ... you can go for aquarium tubing and air pumps... refer inventgeek.com..

What happens if I do not have a CO2 emitting facility to which I can connect my PBR (or the open pond)? Where do I get CO2 from in high concentrations?

My question also, I am creating and bio reactor and would like the same info. I would love something that can filter it out of the air and pump it directly into my PBR. I know this is easier said than done as one school developed a CONex sized apparatus that used resin plates to extract the co2 from the air than wash the plates and collect the co2..
