The problem with growing algae in half pipes is the Growth seems to block the sunlight getting to the water below the Alga.

So you have to harvest every so many hours to keep the sunlight in the water.
Or; you can pipe the sunlight into the bottom of the water.

What if:
Using some clear plastics as Fiber optics, laid out on each side of the pipes, with the ends of the plastic down into the water under the Algae, and the Tops open to the sunlight all along the length of the Pipes.
Plastic pipes cut in half, 10' long. Pipes 3" on up to 10" or 12".

Or; even use some clear plastic or even Glass?

Yes? No? What? :?:
