Does anyone here have any idea as to where I can look for the complete genome information for algae ?? Any open resource?

Until now, only few algae strains had been studied genetically. For this reason, there are not much information about algae's gnomes. However you can find some ionformation in BacMap: http://wishart.biology.ualberta.ca/BacMap/index_18.html, some genetic information about Chlamydomonas reinhartii: http://www.chlamy.org/ and few complete algae genomes of some cyanobacteria, red and green algae in ncbi/genomes: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entre ... term=algae. Also you can find plastids and mitochondrion complete genomes there.
