I want to know the power consumption of a single paddle wheel operating for one month. Anybody have any idea?

The speed of the paddle wheel may affect the power consumption. I have read that when operated to mix every 4 h for only 15 min, power consumption was 25% less than for continuous mixing at the same velocity.

The average daily power consumption of Paddle wheel is about 1.23 (kWh) for a 1,000 m2 algae pond… ... thesis.pdf

Is there any company selling paddle wheel for algal ponds alone?

I think the power consumption could depend on size and weight of the paddle wheel and also no how fast (RPM?) it rotates...

you can also move the algae around by using aeration. Have a look at fine bubble aeration tubing by Aquatech Environmental. O2b2 tubing using Co2 can feed the algae as well as create a gentle circulation from the bottom up as well as helping maintain a even temp in the water.

I think you might get some movement by convection.

Get one of those old TV Reception dish's. Put 12" mirrors in a collection around the big dish. AIm the mirrors at a ball of metal.
Water going to the ball will be heated up to as much as 2000 degrees, the cooler water in the pool will try to get up to the ball. Round and round it goes till its all the same temp.
Over night that will change and next day it starts all over again.

Another thing out of the wild blue.

Capture the Methane gas off the decaying matter. Use the Methane to power a Generator, and the Generator will drive an electric motor with a propeller to stir up the tank.
