Macroalgae harvesting

Is it true that macroalgae are harvested only twice or thrice a year as against microalgae which might be harvested even everyday depending on the strain?

This is of importance. If macro-algae can give comparable yields (I believe macroalgae can give 60-80 T of biomass per hectar which is lower than microalgae approx 200 T per ha, but definitely not bad, much better compared to oil crops which can give only 2 T of seeds per ha), and if the number of harvests are fewer, it might be far easier to grow macroalgae for fuel from a process point of view...

Methinks it is worth exploring...youthinks what?
