Marine algae ethanol

Marine algae ethanol

Postby cacofonix » Sat Jan 24, 2009 6:25 am

I am specifically interested in research studies and/or commercial examples of companies / universities who are trying the ethanol from marine algae - either micro or macro algae.

Marine systems present one helluva great opportunity to grow algae without disrupting anything on land. And many marine algae are carbohydrate-rich. I personally feel marine algae to ethanol could be one domain that has relatively higher potential within the broader domain of algae energy

Any case studies or links will be greatly appreciated

I think the best places for you have already been posted by Phyco in the above post. I could not agree any further. It is absolutely true but the best place for what you seek is always the science daily as they provide us with the most latest information, which I must say not even can let to be compared to its rivals. Anyway, we also need to give insurance for the health of the algae, and then only the whole ethanol thing will work
