Hi,
I want to know What type of algae could be used as fish feed? Will all fish feed on algae? Can i simply collect the algae from culture pond and drop them in fish pond?

If you love your fishes dont drop the algae from pond into your fish tank. There is chance of presence of Harmul algal poisons. I would suggest formulated fish feed rather than using wild algae.

I guess the fish foods using algae are formulated in such a way that it is consumed by all kinds of fish.

One way of making sure you don't spend too much on algae fish food is to buy deoiled algae - that is, algae that is left over after oil has been extracted...these still contain the protein that fish require and more important, they are quite cheap!
