When algae oil yields are discussed, most of the time the discussion is about microalgae oil yields.

What about oil yields from macroalgae? It is well known that their oil content is much lower than those of microalgae, but does anyone know the typical oil contents for the macroalgae with the most amount of oil in them?

Hi,
Here is a website with some info on your topic of intrest:http://www.floatingislands.com/seaweed-oil/

They say "sargassum has 1-3% of oil" and "rockweed has 5.46% oil"
