Algae from Sewage Ponds - Definition, Glossary, Details - Oilgae

Algae from Sewage Ponds

Refers to algae grown in sewage ponds. This, in the context of biodiesel production, refers to specific algae strains deliberately grown in sewage ponds, as opposed to algae that naturally grow in these sewage ponds. The difference is that, the algae strains for which the sewage is a natural home might not be the most optimal when it comes to oil content and yield.
