Fuel from macroalgae

A company called biomass energy centre suggests three process for convertion of macroalgae to fuel. They say these processess are able to make use of wet biomass. It includes 1.Anaerobic digestion, 2.Fermentation & 3.Hydrothermal upgrading which gives methane ethanol and bio-crude respectively.

I guess these processes can be applied to microalgae as well... If these process can handle wet biomass, Is it possible to use the cultured alga without harvesting and drying?
