I have a anaerobic digester for digesting farm waste. Can i use the same digester for digesting wild Algae? Can i use Algae from my pond together with my farm waste?

Hai,
U can digest anything and everything organic in the digestor. It is said that, the major advantage in Anaerobic digestor is multiple feedstock flexibility. Yield of biogas varies with the kind of biomass you use. For eg; grass silage gives around 185 m3.
I believe that algae will increase the yield. Please let me know whether my guess is right..

Hi,
I ll surely let you know about my trial.. Before proceeding further i have another doubt.. Is it possible to use the Anaerobic digestion effluent of algae as fertilizer? Do you know the NPK value of Algae digest?

Hi,
The solid waste residue can be used as soil conditioner if it has useful levels of nitrate or phosphate. SO you can check for nitrate and phosphate levels of the solid waste and use them as fertilizer.

Another alternative include gasifying this solid waste again to produce fuel..
