Belgium & Netherlands Gearing Up for Biofuel Production – USDA (PDF)
Belgium Biodiesel Testing - Intertek Caleb Brett Belgium conducst the quality monitoring of Biofuels in the Antwerp laboratory. Intertek provides full, complete and independent testing for Biodiesel fuels according the Biodiesel Full standard EN-14214. The biofuel laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is accredited according ISO 17025 standards.
Belgium and the Netherlands Gearing Up for Biofuels Production - Until recently, production and consumption of biofuels in Belgium and the Netherlands were not top government priorities. In fact, only about 20,000 metric tons of biodiesel was produced in the region in 2005; no ethanol for use as fuel was produced. But as the Netherlands and Belgium begin to follow the rules and standards set for members by the European Commission, they are setting ambitious country goals for the use of biofuels.
Belgian biodiesel producer moves a step closer to opening plant Bioro sets sail with GIMV - Ghent, 22 June 2006 - Biodiesel is one of GIMV's new investment areas. The leading venture capital fund is taking a stake in Belgian Biodiesel Holding and thus also indirectly in Bioro, the joint venture between Biodiesel Holding, Cargill and Vanden Avenne Izegem. GIMV's involvement confirms the potential of Bioro and brings the producer a step closer to the creation of a state-of-the-art biodiesel plant in the port of Ghent

About Oilgae - Oilgae - Oil & Biodiesel from Algae
has a focus on biodiesel production from algae while also discussing
alternative energy in general. Algae present an exciting possibility as a
feedstock for biodiesel, and when you realise that oil was originally
formed from algae - among others - you think "Hey! Why not oil
again from algae!"
To facilitate exploration of oil production from algae as well as exploration
of other alternative energy avenues, Oilgae provides web links, directory,
and related resources for algae-based biofuels / biodiesel along with inputs
on new inventions, discoveries & breakthroughs in other alternative
energy domains such as solar, wind, nuclear, hydro, geothermal, hydrogen
& fuel cells, gravitational, geothemal, human-powered, ocean & wave /
tidal energy.
