among very few diatoms are producing recoverable oil.still if think abt yield is only 45-50%. so viablity is ?. more of it is quality also?. Need some advise regarding some interference while extraction the pheophorbide (degraded product).

right now working with diatoms by killing. could u give some inputs for milking
Ya, like cow milking for milk, i.e with out killing you can let them grow and take the top floating oil, only thing is to maintain high cell density to get more yields ......
45 to 50 % yield !! I thought itis pretty impressive.
no ,since i am a commercial person.the yield is very less if we r in open ponds. need atleast 85-90% otherwise the cop will affect the viability.

as we know that spirulina is a high grade and valuable species.why don't you think of it as herbs/medicine instead.
