Getting Algae in the Classroom
This summer I will be working on an algae outreach program in which I will help k-12 students raise, harvest, and extract algyl oils with cheap, eaisly obtainable machinery. I hope it will spark interest and creativty who can continue to enhance the biofuel industry. I wanted to see what people think about educating youth about algae, if anyone has experience with a similar project, or if anyone has suggestions for building cheap teaching items for high school and middle school classrooms.
