City - Apple Valley Country - United States Role - Research & Academia About - Im a Renewable Energy Student studying local strains of algae and their levels of lipid production. I have turned my garage into a lab and have 3 open ponds i use for different experiments. I built my own photo bioreactors that currently contain 18 strains of algae. Im working on scaling up production from the reactors to the ponds. Recently granted acess to 660 acres with 1.2 million gallons of gray water available per day. Im looking for anyone interested in this field who would like to get in on the ground floor. Wonder what is the latest timeline that is suggested by experts for algae fuel commercialization...I recently read that Synthetic Genomics suggest that it could be beyond 2025, perhaps even 2030 when we can realistically expert algal fuel to be in the market
