The Idea of Oil companies funding Algea reseach is grate. I wish they would have gotten into it sooner. They have a monopoly at present. If they want to keep it they will have to jump on the waggon that leads to the future of energy supply, and Algea is just that.
While there is truth in Mr. Benemann's statement (he has been working in this field for a long time), it is also true that large strides are being made in the technology. Algae Ventures has made dewatering progress, Origin Oil has made oil recovery progress. So progress is being made.
