    Yes, the extraction is expensive when organisms such as yeasts are involved since it has only 10-15% of beta glucan while the algae that is being used by Algae Scientific contains 50% beta glucan.

    The company claims that  the beta glucan of their algae is stored within the cell and the cell itself is very digestible, so they just feed the algae straight to the animal and it doesn’t need further processing.
