How to produce DHA and Omega 3 oils on a commercially viable basis 3

Hi Chaps and chapesses, has anyone been involved with the commercial production of DHA or the large scale culturing of Shizochytrium ? What about the conversion of macro-algae e.g. Lamminaria sp to ethanol / biomass or as a sourc eof Omega 3 or 6 oils ? Regards, David

    A company which I can think of is a company based out of Columbia, called Martek Biosciences, previously called Omega Tehc Inc..

    I have an Idea about production of DHA by Shizochytrium using glycerol in the medium by microalgal fermintation.

    This Idea can be used to use glycerol produced from Biodiesel production to cultivate Shizochytrium and produce DHA
