Cultivating protozoa instead of algae? 3
Intersted in mass genocide? A nitrogen flush a day keeps the protozoa at bay!Learned it the hard way... Its nice to monitor a preditor pray system. Just not right now :P
1h anaerobe a day will do miracles. Protozoa need plenty of O2 to keep racing around. Deprive them of that and your algae will be really happy.

Sounds like a great idea! Is this just an idea or has it been put into practice in your part of the algae world?
Mr. Maffiosi, Sir, could you give a few more facts
on how much and what form of nitrogen to use in this daily doseing of N.
Almost respectively yours, Sir
Alan Schaefer, USA
Just regular N2 gas sparged into my reactor 1h a day at the end of the night phase. Did this in practice. And microscopic pictures confirm protozoa are not as active as they used to be. An alternative is growing at a pH of 9. works as well.
Woops. Edited your post.

Sounds pretty interesting.
