About - For five years, my main responsibilities included all aspects of algae-to-oil production, from strain selection to analyzing algae oil. My work took me across the country to test our technologies on-site with several coal- and gas- fired power plants. I was responsible for managing large research projects and systems, optimizing growth conditions and adapting algae strains for increased oil yield. On the business side, my duties including competitive analysis, and meeting with investors and partners to discuss systems and strategies. After GreenFuel closed it's doors, I served as an independent contractor, I worked with a team of MIT professors to create the testing program for a novel PAED wastewater treatment study. Prior to GreenFuel, I taught marine biology on Catalina Island; then moved back to the east coast and became an environmental monitor (in the field) for gas-fired and nuclear power plants. My BS is in Natural Resources and plant biology from UNH. I'm Currently developing front-end business skills, employed full time in sales at Yahoo!
