See the <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oilgae.com\/blog\/dir\/dir.html\">complete list of Oilgae Blog articles<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Energy from green goo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several San Diego scientists are forming a new research center to tap energy from a source that is environmentally friendly and literally green: algae.<\/p>\n<p>Microscopic algae are the ultimate crop for producing biodiesel because they grow quickly and with few added nutrients, said Steve Mayfield, who specializes in the biochemistry of algae at the Scripps Research Institute.
