Laboratory tests at AlgaStar Inc., have proven that the biological stimulation from electromagnetic waves or microwaves can accelerate algal growth better than natural sunlight. This electromagnetic wave energy is found to increase the algal biomass and its lipid oil production up to 300%.

Another innovative technology developed by AlgaStar Inc., is SolarMagnetron TM. The Automated Biocontroller system (ABC) in the device uses light efficiently. During the day it maximizes the natural sunlight. ABC also produces artificial sunlight at specific wavelengths at night time using the specially domed acrylic lenses and flat panel glass reactors containing highly efficient fluorescent and LED lights. This optimizes the algae photosynthesis without interruption and allows the grower to harvest 1% of biomass in every 15 minutes or 50% once in a day.

more from here

Algae, being the fastest growing organism utilize maximum resource of energy from its environment.
