At this time, ABO is \u00a0seeking nominations for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.algaebiomass.org\/about\/leadership\/board-of-directors\/\">Board<\/a>\u00a0from the ABO\u2019s membership. For those ABO members interested in making a nomination,\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_3\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Torntv V6.0\" href=\"http:\/\/www.algaebiomass.org\/blog\/7148\/nominations-to-abos-board-of-directors\/#\">check<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net\/items\/it\/img\/arrow-10x10.png\" \/><\/a>\u00a0out the information on the process below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directors are\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_5\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Torntv V6.0\" href=\"http:\/\/www.algaebiomass.org\/blog\/7148\/nominations-to-abos-board-of-directors\/#\">expected<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net\/items\/it\/img\/arrow-10x10.png\" \/><\/a>\u00a0to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuously be a member in good standing of the Algae Biomass Organization<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate on one ABO committee<\/li>\n<li>Attend 70% of all Board calls, held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 11:00 a.m. CT<\/li>\n<li>Attend two in-person meetings: September\/October as part of the Algae Biomass Summit; and a Board Retreat in January\/February; expenses not covered by ABO<\/li>\n<li>Be active in membership recruitment and retention<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Per the ABO by-laws, the goal of recruitment is to identify 1.5 candidates for each of the 8 open positions or 12 candidates as a\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_4\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Torntv V6.0\" href=\"http:\/\/www.algaebiomass.org\/blog\/7148\/nominations-to-abos-board-of-directors\/#\">minimum<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net\/items\/it\/img\/arrow-10x10.png\" \/><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Director Recruitment committee consists of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tim Burns, BioProcess Algae<\/li>\n<li>Jose Olivares, Los Alamos National Labs<\/li>\n<li>Tim Zenk, Sapphire Energy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Director Recruitment process will occur on the\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_1\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Torntv V6.0\" href=\"http:\/\/www.algaebiomass.org\/blog\/7148\/nominations-to-abos-board-of-directors\/#\">following<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net\/items\/it\/img\/arrow-10x10.png\" \/><\/a>\u00a0schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solicitations of candidates \u2013 Beginning on December 1, 2013\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates will be requested to provide:\n<ul>\n<li>A current resume or CV<\/li>\n<li>Statement of interest on why they should be considered for the Board<\/li>\n<li>A recent portrait photograph (jpg or eps)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Slate of candidates identified for the ABO Board \u2013 February 2014<\/li>\n<li>Candidate interviews \u2013 February-March 2014<\/li>\n<li>Three week election period \u2013 April 2014<\/li>\n<li>Terms of service commence May 2014<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to\u00a0<a id=\"_GPLITA_0\" title=\"Click to Continue &gt; by Torntv V6.0\" href=\"http:\/\/www.algaebiomass.org\/blog\/7148\/nominations-to-abos-board-of-directors\/#\">apply<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net\/items\/it\/img\/arrow-10x10.png\" \/><\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To submit your interest to become a board candidate please use the form on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.algaebiomass.org\/contact\/\">ABO\u2019s contact page<\/a>\u00a0or reach out to Barb Scheevel, ABO Administrative Coordinator.
