Species of Fish for Producing Nitrates for Algae <\/strong><\/p>\n

The following was a question posed at the Oil from Algae yahoogroup<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Question: How many, and what species of fish would produce the amount of Nitrates necessary to grow substantial algae for on-farm usage?<\/p>\n

There was one interesting answer: Fish and Algae won’t go together. Algae is their food.<\/p>\n

However, Bobby Yates Emory had this to say: The fish eat algae and their waste feeds the growth of more algae. The talipa(SP?) is harvested for food and for sale.<\/p>\n
