The project will focus on the benefits of biofuels and the production of biofuels from non-food crops. DOE has awarded a $125 million for the five year project. The project will also look into the development of solar energy, apart from biofuels. \u00a0NREL and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will lead the biofuel part of the show.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology will join hands with the researchers from\u00a0UoF and other universities in the US to work on biofuels. This project will focus on the development of different types of fuels from algae and also on the dedicated energy crops plantation.
