Introducing O<sub>2<\/sub> will reduce the amount of alcohol<br \/>\nproduced from a given amount of sugar but could allow the fermentation to go<br \/>\non longer, however the yeast will die off when you reach a certain fairly<br \/>\nlow alcohol concentration.
