The company wants to clean up power plant and industrial plant emissions using algae and then have the algae turn the CO2 captured to generate both an oil and a cake product.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia;font-size:100%;\" ><\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia;font-size:100%;\" >RWE will be building its first facility in Georgetown County, South Carolina.  South Carolina is where RWE\u2019s oil processing plant and algae bioreactors will be located.  The company grows several different strains of algae and has a \u201cproprietary automated harvesting technology.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia;font-size:100%;\" ><\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia;font-size:100%;\" >Besides growing the algae, RWE recently announced a process that captures the CO2 and nitrous oxide from smokestacks to grow algae.
