Algae Industry of San Diego Struggles To Float On Fuel Alone
You could be in San Diego, or you could be in Mars for all algae cares, but you won’t be able to survive on trying to make fuel from algae.

Here’s an interesting article that details the travails of the algae fuel industry
“We’ve flown jet aircraft on the fuel. We’ve driven boats on the fuel. Cars, you name it. So scientifically, it’s a done deal. What the issue is now is economics,” renowned algae research Stephen Mayfield says in the article.
Perhaps, but then survival of an industry is a question of economics too, isn’t it? Especially, when you have other competitors such as fracked natural gas surfacing to the earth at rather low costs.
