World Health Energy Holdings Signs LOI with Eco Green Fuels to Grow Algae for Biofuels
World health Energy Holdings (WHEN) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Eco Green Fuels for a joint venture to produce algae for biofuel production. By the terms of this Joint Venture WHEN will start production so as to supply one million liters of algal oil to EFG by the last quarter of 2012. Eco Green Fuels Pvt. Ltd. (EGF) is the first company in India to have established an end to end solution in the emerging market of alternative fuels through the agricultural route. According to Jeremy Werblowsky, the CFO of WHEN, this is their fourth LOI in India, of which, 2 have advanced to the MoU stage.
Jeremy says, “The very real interest in our GNE GB 3000 system from a number of potential joint venture partners is very encouraging”. He added that WHEN is now working towards the development of algae commercial farms of 2.5 acres to 250 acres. As a frame of reference, their proprietary algae growth enhancement technology can produce over 700,000 liters monthly on 25 acres and by scaling up to a 250 acre project, they will be able to produce over 7 million liters on a monthly basis.
