A Hungarian technology, TBK Biodiesel, is using a process of "interestification" having ethyl acetate as a main reagent. The process yeilds 1.2 units of fuel for every 1 unit of feedstock (algae). It also eliminates the "glycerol glut" eliminating it as a waste stream. Talk about a money maker!
